ARY’s Islamabad office has been closed after 8 staff members tested positive.
As being reported, 20 employees were tested, out of which 8 were identified as COVID-19 positive, while two have shown symptoms.
This latest development was shared by ARY’s CEO Salman Iqbal on social media.
“As a precautionary measure random testing was done in ARY Isb office,8 reported positive out of 20 tests, 2 have shown symptoms. We have closed our Isb office, all staff will be tested and the office to be sanitised. Till all staff is tested employees have been asked to stay at home”, wrote Salman Iqbal in a Tweet.
The lives of journalists and media workers across the country are in danger, especially those who are working in the field without any precautions against COVID-19.
Earlier, also in Islamabad, employees of Hum News were diagnosed with COVID-19.
While there were reports of coronavirus also being spread among the employees of City 42 in Lahore.
