Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar Friday warned of a fourth COVID-19 wave in Pakistan in July!
The federal minister and the chief of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), took to social media on Friday urging the nation to be cautious and get vaccinated.
“Reviewed the artificial intelligence-based disease modeling analysis today in NCOC. In the absence of strong SOP enforcement and a continued strong vaccination program, the 4th wave could emerge in Pakistan in July. Please adhere to sop’s and vaccinate as soon as possible,” he said in a tweet.
Pakistan on Friday reported 1,052 new coronavirus cases and 44 deaths.
According to NCOC, 45,924 tests were conducted nationwide, while the COVID positivity rate stands at 2.29%.
So far 337,248 vaccines have been administered across Pakistan on 24 June.
While the total vaccine administered across the country till now is 14,503,136.
