Asif Ali Zardari, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairperson has been moved to the intensive care unit (ICU) after a severe chest infection on Monday.
The former president of Pakistan was admitted to a private hospital in Karachi on Sunday evening.
Dr. Asim Hussain, the personal physician of the PPP leader, told the Express Tribune that Mr. Zardari has a severe chest infection and his sugar level had also dropped drastically.

The PPP’s spokesperson on Sunday shared on social media that the “Former President of Pakistan and PPPP @AAliZardari was shifted to hospital after feeling unwell late Sunday evening. Doctors are conducting his medical check-up and necessary medical tests”.
