Pakistani computer scientist Asma Zaheer has become the first ever Pakistani to be honored with IBM’s highest award “Best of IBM 2019.” The Best of IBM 2019 “winners” were selected from all business units and roles including in Artificial Intelligence, Hybrid Cloud, Analytics and Cyber Security.
Asma Zaheer is the first Pakistani Computer Scientist who has been awarded with this highest prestigious award of the company. She completed her undergraduate in Computer Science from Punjab University and Masters from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST), Lahore.
Asma has been associated with IBM Pakistan since 2013 as IGNITE & Test Innovation Practice Leader for IBM’s Global Business Services, Client Innovation Centre (CIC). Her area of service includes analytics, cloud computing, and cognitive computing systems.
Ms Virginia Marie “Ginni” Rometty the current chairman, president, and CEO of IBM applauded the efforts of all key performers.
Asma’s award come as a proud news for Pakistan, encouraging more tech graduates from the country to perform well in their respective fields and set further examples.
