At least 41 passengers burned alive in an accident in Lasbela where a bus fell into a ravine

The bodies are to be identified through DNA testing.

In the saddest turn of events, at least 41 passengers were burned alive in the bus accident in Lasbela in the early hours of Sunday.

As reported, a passenger bus with at least 48 people on board was on its way to Karachi from Quetta when it fell into a ravine and caught fire.

The bus caught fire after falling, as per rescue teams it took two hours to control the fire.

According to the Bela Assistant Commissioner Hamza Anjum Nadeem, the rescue operation had been completed.

He said that DNA tests will be done for the identification of the deceased, while the injured passengers have been shifted to Civil Hospital, Lasbela.

Forty-one bodies had been recovered from the wreckage and some of them are burned beyond recognition, district police officer Israr Umrani told the press.
