Bakhtawar Bhutto demands a ban on the entry of men without family in public places!
Hundreds of people are expressing their grief and anger over the incident of harassment of a female TikToker at the Greater Iqbal Park, Lahore on Independence Day.
Strict action is also being demanded in this regard after more videos of this harassment incident came to light.
Bakhtawar Bhutto, daughter of former PM Benazir Bhutto and former President Asif Ali Zardari has demanded a ban on men entering public places without their families after journalist Sabin Agha shared an account of harassment she suffered a few years ago.
Quoting the journalist, Bakhtawar in a tweet said: “Another harrowing experience – witnessed by police who refused to help despite their ability to call for back up as well as use weapons to disperse the crowd. Trusted to help & instead complicit. Men should be banned from public spaces. We need more women to safeguard women.”

In her later tweet, she said,” Re my tweet banning men from the public. I stand by it. Single men should not be allowed out without being escorted by sisters, mothers, wives, or daughters – perhaps then they will think twice before assaulting women. With repeated & increasing incidents of assault no better option.”
