Ban on pillion riding imposed in Karachi, all exemptions withdrawn

The Sindh home department has imposed a blanket ban on pillion riding in Karachi.

According to the new notification, issued on Saturday, all exemptions previously given have been withdrawn.

Karachi police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon has directed to ensure a strict imposition of the ban.

Journalists, policemen and elderly citizens were previously exempted from the ban.

Strict action will be taken against the ones violating it.
