Banks to Remain Open This Weekend for Hajj 2025 Applications
The banks will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that 15 designated banks will remain open this weekend, specifically on Saturday, November 30, 2024, and Sunday, December 1, 2024, to facilitate the submission of applications for Hajj 2025.
The banks will operate from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on both days to assist intending pilgrims in depositing their applications and associated dues before the final deadline of December 3, 2024
This decision follows a request from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, aiming to ease the application process for pilgrims
In addition to this initiative, the government has also announced a reduction in airfare for Hajj 2025, expected to save pilgrims approximately Rs. 1.24 billion overall.
The new airfare will be set at Rs. 220,000, down from Rs. 234,000 in the previous year, providing significant financial relief to those participating in the pilgrimage.
