In a landmark move aimed at redefining the global crypto economy landscape, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), the founder of Binance and one of the most influential figures in the Web3 space, has officially been appointed as the Strategic Advisor to the Pakistan Crypto Council (PCC), according to a statement issued by the Federal Ministry of Finance.

The announcement was made during a meeting between CZ and the Pakistan Crypto Council today.

The meeting was chaired by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, and was attended by high-ranking officials, including the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, and the Federal Secretaries of Law and IT.

As part of his role, CZ will provide guidance on regulation, infrastructure development, education, and adoption of crypto technologies. He will work closely with both the government and the private sector to create a compliant, inclusive, and globally competitive crypto ecosystem.

CZ also held separate meetings with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar to discuss digital asset policy and blockchain adoption.

The PCC CEO, Bilal Bin Saqib, noted that Pakistan is “opening its doors to the future of finance” with CZ’s guidance, highlighting his influence as a pioneer in the crypto space.

This move positions Pakistan alongside progressive nations like Singapore, Dubai, and Switzerland in embracing Web3 technologies.

CZ’s involvement follows his recent engagement with the Kyrgyz Republic, where he is advising on Web3 infrastructure and blockchain education.
