A blast inside a mosque has left at least 2 people dead and several injured on Friday in Quetta’s Pashtoonabad area.
The injured include children and the elderly. According to the rescue sources, 2 out of 15 were critically injured and are reported to be taken to Civil Hospital, Quetta.
According to the news source, the blast took place in Rehmania Masjid during Friday prayers, which was heard by residents several blocks away.
The area has been cordoned off by the security forces, while further investigations are underway. The nature of the blast is yet to be determined.
Reportedly the blast took off where the imam stood. According to the mosque administration, the blast occurred at 1:15 pm and that there were approximately 30 to 40 people in the mosque for Friday prayers.
