At least one policeman dead and 10 others were injured as a result of the blast that targeted a police vehicle in Quetta’s Double Road area on Tuesday evening. The injured persons also include five policemen.
According to the initial reports, a blast occurred near a police vehicle. According to the police, the explosive material was installed in a motorcycle that targeted the police mobile.
The loud explosion took place on Double Road in front of a famous car showroom was heard far and wide, also caused damage to a rickshaw and five motorcycles.
According to rescue sources, four vehicles caught fire due to the blast, however, the fire was put out later. Reportedly, the injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital Quetta.
Liaquat Shahwani, the spokesperson for the Balochistan government, strongly condemned the incident.
