Bollywood celebrities condemn attack on Jawaharlal Nehru University
It was on Sunday when a group of masked people attacked students at Jawaharlal Nehru University in Delhi. The attackers damaged the campus while they went from hostel to hostel.
According to a list compiled by the teachers’ association there more than 22 students and teachers were injured in the violence, including the President of the Jawaharlal Nehru Students Association, Aishe Ghosh.
Amid JNU attack many of the Bollywood celebrities took to social media condemning the attack, criticizing Modi’s government, and Delhi Police, and showing solidarity with JNU students.

Later on Monday, many Bollywood personalities led hundreds of people in a peaceful protest against the attack on New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru University campus at Carter Road in Mumbai.
They combined sloganeering with songs and poetry recitals. Among those present were Vishal Bharadwaj, Anurag Kashyap, Anubhav Sinha, Zoya Akhtar, Diya Mirza, Rahul Bose, Richa Chadha, Swanand Kirkire, Reema Kagti, Hansal Mehta, Sayani Gupta, Gauahar Khan, and Taapsee Pannu, besides stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra, and others.
