8 teachers shot dead in a school in Upper Kurram district of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The provincial authorities have postponed the matriculation examinations in the district.

At least eight teachers are reported to have been shot dead in a school in the Upper Kurram district of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Thursday.
As reported, unidentified gunmen opened fire at teachers sitting in the staffroom of the tehsil’s high school.
All the teachers in the school building for performing their exam duties.
The authorities have imposed emergency in all hospitals in the area.
According to the news source, students were taking matriculation exams at the Government High School Tari Mangal — a village located 23km from Parachinar, the district headquarters of Kurramm when the incident occurred.
The gunfire also left one policeman injured.
The police are searching for the attackers.
Following the gun attacks on Thursday, the provincial authorities have postponed the matriculation examinations in the district.
KP Government Advisor on Education Rehman Salam said that a new schedule for the examination will be announced later.
It is not confirmed yet whether the incident was a terror attack or a sectarian killing.
Earlier on Thursday, another school teacher was killed in a gun attack on a vehicle on Shalozan Road in Parachinar.
