Breaking: At least two people reportedly injured outside US Capitol

At least two people reportedly shot outside US Capitol on Friday afternoon in Washington DC, said the initial reports.

However, according to the latest development, two US Capitol cops were injured when they were hit by a car.

A car had smashed through a barrier on Friday afternoon, police officials said.

One suspect has been taken into custody, police said.

One suspect in a car attack outside the U.S. Capitol was shot by police after exiting his vehicle with a knife – Fox News reported.

Following an outside security threat, the Capitol has been placed on lockdown.

This is the incident that took place despite heavy security put in place following the deadly Capitol riot on January 6.
