Federal govt. to co-ordinate with Sindh over Bundal Island’s rift

Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Thursday that the federal government would co-ordinate with the Sindh over Bundal Island’s issue.

According to the details, the premier in a meeting in Islamabad—directed the Sindh governor Imran Ismail to finalise the matter related to the island after taking Sindh government in confidence.

Highlighting the benefits of the Bundal Island project, the Prime Minister told a delegation of industrialists and traders that it will create investment and job opportunities.

Governor Ismail said the project would attract $50 billion investment which would benefit the country’s economy as well as increasing Sindh’s revenue and will also become a tourist destination.

The Sindh governor further said that the federal government will take all stakeholders on board before initiating this eco-friendly project

According to the Sindh governor, a working group based on the representatives of the provincial and federal governments as well as other departments would be established to finalise the matters.

He said he would meet Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah to speak on the reservations.
