The police and the family’s lawyer confirmed that the industrialist contacted his family on Sunday.

On July 23, the well-known industrialist and the Cola Next owner was abducted from the Mauripur Road in Karachi along with his friend Qaiser.

As reported, he was on his way to Clifton with his friend, Qaisar, after a meeting when they were stopped by eight individuals in a double-cabin vehicle.

The abductors forced them into their vehicle and drove away.

After driving a short distance, the abductors released Qaisar, who then informed Zulfiqar’s family about the incident.

On Friday night, The Kalri police registered a first information report (FIR) against eight men who were allegedly involved in the kidnapping. The men were said to be carrying weapons when they took Ahmed away.

The police initially refused to register a case, prompting the SHC to summon the station house officer of the police station for an explanation.

Later two high-powered teams, led by the CIA deputy inspector general and Zonal DIG, were formed to investigate the incident.

Meanwhile, two of the company’s senior employees who were also allegedly abducted in Lahore are yet to be recovered.
