Cars will soon cost cheaper in Pakistan: Fawad Chaudhry

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry says that the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved the electric vehicle policy, soon the prices of vehicles in Pakistan will come down.

In an interview with Geo News, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that the prices of vehicles in Pakistan have skyrocketed.

He added that the electric vehicle policy will end the monopoly of vehicles, this electric vehicle policy is important for the environment of cities like Lahore and Karachi.

Fawad Chaudhry said that more than 35% of air pollution in Pakistani cities is due to traffic.

He said that ECC has also approved the mobile manufacturing policy, 3 major mobile phone companies will soon start operations in Pakistan.

“These are major achievements in the Made in Pakistan campaign. Soon we will be building our own electric vehicles and mobile phones,” he said.

Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry also said that we are now making our own ventilators, soon we will also make X-ray and dialysis machines.
