Celebrities mourn death of Legendary actor Abid Ali

Legendary Actor Abid Ali passed away on Thursday, 5th September 2019 at the age of 67 in a private hospital in Karachi. He was suffering from liver disease.

Abid Ali was born in Quetta, he started his acting career from PTV and he has worked in numerous hit drama serials including Waris.

He was also awarded the Prestigious Presidential Award, Pride of Performance. His career is stretched into decades, his recent hit dramas include Mehndi, Diyaar e Dil, Daldal, Anghan. He was also seen in the film Heer Maan Ja.

As the sad news of Abid Ali demise broke, Pakistani celebrities, bloggers, people from entertainment fraternity, and fans from all over the world started to pay their respects and condolences.

Renowned writer and poet Amjad Islam Aslam shares his grief while talking to the media he said, “We worked together in so many dramas and he was one of my closest friends in the industry.” He further added, “He was one of the pioneers in the drama industry despite not having any formal acting training.”

Veteran actress Bushra Ansari said, “Abid Ali was a fatherly figure for me in the industry and will be sorely missed.”

#AbidAli was the top trend on social media as people shared their condolences through Instagram posts and Tweets. Saba Qamar, Maya Khan, Osman Khalid Butt, Humayun Saeed, Fahad Mustafa, Mehwish Hayat, and many others have expressed their grief over the demise of the legendary actor.
