Changes in business hours across Sindh, notification issued

The Sindh Home Department has issued an order to change the business hours in the province. The business will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.

According to the Sindh Home Department, the business will be allowed from dawn to 6 pm. A notification has been issued to change the business hours.

According to the notification, businesses in Sindh province will be closed two days a week on Saturday and Sunday.

There will be a complete ban on political, social, cultural, and sports activities throughout the province.

According to the notification, indoor dining will not be allowed in the restaurant, outdoor dining will be from Iftar till 12 noon.

The statement said that the home delivery and takeaway facility will be discounted till dawn.

The Sindh Home Department says that Taraweeh gatherings should be held in open spaces.

Coronavirus Situation In Sindh

Earlier in the day, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a statement on the status of Coronavirus said that 11623 samples were tested in the last 24 hours according to which 561 new cases were reported.

He said that 3 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. The total number of deaths has reached 4544.

He also added that today 404 more patients have recovered and so far the total number of recovered persons has reached 259792. 

CM Sindh added that currently, 7187 patients are undergoing treatment. Out of which 6794 patients are undergoing treatment in homes, 10 in isolation centers, and 383 in various hospitals. The condition of 356 patients is said to be critical and 39 patients are on ventilators.

The Chief Minister said that out of 561 new cases in the province, 278 were related to Karachi. Of these, 139 cases have been reported in Eastern District, 65 in South District, 31 in Central District, 19 in Malir District, 17 in West District, and 7 in Korangi.
