COAS Commends Bravery of Wounded in Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, Reaffirms Armed Forces’ Resolve
The operation involved striking 26 Indian military facilities and deploying Pakistani drones over major Indian cities, including New Delhi.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi on May 12, 2025, to inquire about the well-being of soldiers and innocent civilians wounded during Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
During his visit, he met the injured personnel individually, lauded their exceptional bravery and steadfast devotion to duty, and reaffirmed the Pakistan Armed Forces’ unwavering commitment to their continued care, rehabilitation, and welfare.
General Munir emphasized that the valour and sacrifice of Pakistan’s civilians and soldiers form the cornerstone of the country’s security and that the entire nation stands in resolute solidarity with every member of its Armed Forces.
He underscored that no hostile design or enemy plan can erode the determination of the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
He noted that the resolute and unified response exhibited during Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, supported steadfastly by the Pakistani people, constitutes a defining chapter in the country’s military history.

Operation Bunyanum Marsoos was a retaliatory military operation conducted by Pakistan in response to Indian aggression that began on the night of May 6-7, resulting in the loss of innocent civilian lives.
The operation involved striking 26 Indian military facilities and deploying Pakistani drones over major Indian cities, including New Delhi.
The Pakistan Army announced the successful completion of this operation on May 10, 2025.
