COAS Rejects Indian Military’s Claims, Promises Strong Response to Any Aggression

The Pakistan Army’s 267th Corps Commanders’ Conference, chaired by COAS General Syed Asim Munir, concluded today

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir has strongly criticized the recent statements made by Indian military leadership, labelling them as “hollow” and indicative of India’s growing frustration.

During a press conference on Tuesday, the COAS asserted that any “misadventure” by India would be met with a “full-throttle response” from Pakistan’s military forces.

The remarks come in the wake of accusations from Indian officials claiming that Pakistan is a central hub for terrorism, which the Pakistani military has dismissed as baseless and politically motivated.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) emphasized that such statements are not only unfounded but also a distraction from India’s own internal issues, particularly concerning human rights violations in Indian-occupied Kashmir.

The COAS’s comments reflect a broader sentiment within the Pakistani military, which views these allegations as reckless and provocative, posing a significant threat to regional stability. He reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully prepared to defend the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against any perceived threats.

The Pakistan Army’s 267th Corps Commanders’ Conference, chaired by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, concluded today with a strong warning to India and a condemnation of cross-border terrorism emanating from Afghanistan.

COAS concluded the conference by emphasizing the army’s commitment to fulfilling its constitutional responsibilities and maintaining operational preparedness through sustained training and enhanced military cooperation.

Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi claimed last month that “60 per cent of the terrorists eliminated” in Indian-occupied Kashmir (IoK) in 2024 were allegedly of Pakistani origin. General Dwivedi further alleged that “80 pc of the remaining fighters in IoK were of Pakistani origin”.
