Cold wave hitting Karachi is likely to further intensify

Karachi to experience dry weather, cold nights next three days

The cold wave hitting Karachi is likely to further intensify till 12 Dec!

Karachi witnessed a drop in temperature due to the ongoing cold wave that is predicted to further intensify as freezing winds — from the northeast have griped the metropolis by Saturday night.

However, the chill factor in Karachi would start to decrease from December 12 to December 15.

According to the Met Office, the minimum temperature in Karachi could remain between 15 – 17 degree Celsius in the next three days.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that southwesterly winds or sea breezes, which have a soothing impact in mostly warm weather in the metropolis, have been suspended and winds from a northeasterly direction from Balochistan, will bring the mercury down.

On the other hand, as predicted, coastal areas of Balochistan saw the first winter rain on Sunday.

According to the Met Office forecast, partly cloudy and cold weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours.

Light rain and light snow over hills is likely at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir.

While, foggy conditions are also likely over plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh during morning hours.
