Comsats University terminates the lecturer for asking question-related to incest in a quiz!
The Comsats University Islamabad (CUI) has ordered an inquiry against one of its own English exams in which the teacher gave an essay topic that seemed to be based on a story of incest in a quiz on the English composition of the Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (BEE) programme.
As reported, the question was part of a quiz in the course titled English Comprehension and Composition, which was held in December 2022.
The test paper is now being circulated on social media, and ‘Juile and Mark Senario’ has sent shockwaves to the masses.
It emerges that in January, the Ministry of Science and Technology ordered an inquiry against the content of the quiz after the Minister took serious notice of the matter.
COMSATS University Islamabad terminated the contract of Khair-ul-Bashar, Lecturer (Visiting Faculty).
The university also blacklisted him for future employment.
The investigation revealed that the teacher had plagiarised the question from Google.
Additional Registrar Naveed Ahmed Khan said when the rector called the lecturer to explain the matter, he admitted his mistake which culminated in his termination.
