Cop shot dead in Manzoor Colony neighbourhood of Karachi
A policeman shot dead by unidentified men in Manzoor Colony neighbourhood of Karachi on Friday, according to police.
As per the statement released by the police, the gunmen riding on motorbikes targeted Constable Noman near Awami Chowk where he was on his way home after discharging his duties.
“Constable Noman had been a part of the police’s 15 squad. He would return to his home from the same way every day,” police said adding that they found three casings of 0.30 caliber rounds from the spot of the incident.
The police is uncertain whether it was a targeted killing or not. They said the gunmen also took away the deceased constable’s official weapon.
Meanwhile, the relatives of the deceased say he didn’t have enmity with anyone.
According to the police, further investigation would be done to find the cause of the killing.
