The number of coronavirus positive cases in Pakistan has jumped to 181 as 119 Taftan pilgrims in Sukkur test positive.

“The total number of ppl affected by coronavirus in Sindh has reached 146. Out of this, 119 are Zaireen who are being kept in Sukkur, 26 are in Khi & 1 is in Hyd. This exponential increase is largely due to the recent inflow of ppl brought in from Taaftaan after a purported quarantine”, he tweeted.
Earlier, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah urged the people of the province to follow social distancing guidelines and avoid unnecessary meetings to curb the spread of novel coronavirus after the provincial tally rose to 103 on Monday.
“You have to adopt voluntary isolation… this the only solution to contain coronavirus,” he said while addressing a press conference in Karachi.
Meanwhile, on Monday, the KPK govt. also reported its first 15 cases of the novel coronavirus.
Provincial health minister Taimur Khan Jhagra in a tweet from his official handle said, “Just received news that 15 of 19 individuals received in KP from Taftan have tested positive for Corona Virus. These are the first positive cases in KP. They are being well looked after in quarantine in an isolated facility in DI Khan. More details soon”.
