Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal area is the most affected by the COVID-19 virus, according to the Sindh health department.
A report released on Thursday indicates, of all cases in Karachi, the highest number was recorded in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, at 127, whereas Saddar followed with 109 cases, the department’s statistics showed.
The areas with most of the COVID-19 cases include, Jamshed Town with 42 positive COVID-19 cases, followed closely by Malir with 41 patients.
Furthermore, at least 30 individuals tested positive for the virus in North Karachi.
Two cases each were reported in Balda Town and Gadap Town, while one was confirmed in North Nazimabad, the Sindh health department report noted.
The gender-wise breakdown showed 70% of the patients were men and 30% women.
Meanwhile 86 new cases were reported in Sindh during the past 24 hours, taking the provincial toll to 1,214.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, addressing the people about the coronavirus situation in the province, said: “We conducted 586 tests during the past 24 hours, 86 of which came back positive.”
He also added that a total of 358 people have recovered from the disease in Sindh.
