Coronavirus: Punjab reports 203 new cases in single day, highest tally in almost 2 months
Punjab has reported 203 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, the highest tally of the infection’s cases reported in almost two months.
The province’s total infections have risen to 100,687.
Meanwhile, Punjab also reported five additional fatalities from COVID-19, taking the provincial death toll to 2,257.
According to the data from the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the COVID-19 cases are steadily rising in October.

On Saturday, October 10, 203 people tested positive for the virus — the highest number of persons contracting the virus since the last two months — and the highest tally of the month so far as well.
On October 9, Punjab reported 154 cases of the infection in a single day, the second-highest tally of the month so far.
On September 26, 187 new cases of the virus were reported throughout the province.
It is for the first time since August 15 that Punjab has repoted more than 200 cases. It had recorded 210 cases of the coronavirus 2 months ago.
