“You are being told repeatedly through the media that the virus can be curbed if you follow precautionary measures. People using public transport or going into shops should wear masks. You don’t have a choice.”
“I urge you to keep going about your business but take precautions.”
Health Dr. Zafar Mira stressed that all standard operating procedures and precautions given to the public must be followed on Eid.
“This Eid is different than any other Eid we’ve ever had. This year you should avoid hugging your loved ones and wear a mask when you meet them,” Mirza said.
“Like in Ramazan we said that people should avoid going to the mosque and make every home a mosque, we have the same advice on Eid. People should start their Eid day by praying their special namaz at home.”
“As this is the last week of Ramazan, we should look around us and find ways to help those who need our help but may not be able to ask for it. Ramazan and Eid are times of caring and sharing,” the prime minister’s special assistant said.
