Amidst the coronavirus outbreak resulted in the closure of educational institutions worldwide, a few schools in Pakistan have announced to switch to online teaching to avoid the disruption students have been facing and to resume their coursework remotely.
An independent Pakistani educational institution, The City School, has announced to provide online classes to its students as an attempt to shun interruption in the curriculum.
A notification issued to the parents by the school administration stated, “In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic and the directive of the Government of Sindh, all City School campuses will remain closed from the 16th March 2020 to 30th May 2020″.
“We will provide you with a comprehensive online solution so that your child’s learning continues with minimum disruption. We will follow up with detailed information on how to access your child’s online learning,” the notification added.
Earlier, the Sindh government announced that all educational institutions in the province will remain closed till May 30, 2020.
It is pertinent to mention here that the number of confirmed cases of the pathogen soared to 51 in Pakistan after 18 new cases of novel coronavirus were reported in the country on Sunday.
