Sheikh Rasheed announces that Pakistan Railways will resume countrywide train operations from May 20, in a press conference on Monday.
According to the Federal Minister for Railways, Prime Minister Imran Khan has given the approval to start train operations across the country from May 20.
He further added that the PM allowed to commence 30 trains in the first phase. “If the situation improves, we will start more trains in the country by June 1.”

He added the railways’ ministry will work and implement the SOPs set by the government, with online bookings only.
He also pointed out that there is a rush of passengers and it was a much-needed decision.
According to the federal minister, the trains will resume operations as per the new time table.
