Court extends Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi’s physical remand by 10 days in new Toshakhana case
The defence lawyer Salman Safdar opposed the extension in remand sought by the anti-graft body's team.

An accountability court in Rawalpindi extended the physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi by 10 days in a new Toshakhana case on Monday.
The development comes as the couple was presented before the court in their hearing in Adiala Jail by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) after the expiry of their previous seven-day remand and submitted a progress report on the newly filed case to the judge.
NAB requested the judge grant an additional 14-day physical remand for the PTI founder and his wife, but the judge extended their remand by 10 days.
The defence lawyer Salman Safdar opposed the extension in remand sought by the anti-graft body’s team.
The judge adjourned the next hearing till August 8.
The judge also ordered that the investigation’s progress report be submitted in the next hearing.
The new Toshakhana case is the latest in a series of legal battles involving Imran Khan and his political party, PTI.
