The authorities have relaxed restrictions during the day time in 22 districts of IoK, after PM Imran’s UNGA speech.
Reportedly, the day time restrictions in Jammu and Kashmir have been relaxed from all 105 police station jurisdictions in Kashmir on Saturday.
Restrictions were first imposed across the Kashmir on 5 August when the Indian govt. announced its decision to abrogate Article 370 of the Constitution and bifurcate the state into two Union territories.
The educational institutions, shops, and other establishments have been largely shut down in the Valley. The people have not opened their businesses in most areas since.
However, authorities imposed restrictions in vulnerable areas of the Valley on Friday. Every Friday strict measures are taken due to the large gatherings at big mosques and shrines, as authorities fear that people might start protesting against the clampdown in the valley.
Furthermore, it is being reported that 4 Kashmiris were dead after the raids carried by Indian security forces.
According to officials, three were killed in the Batote market area of Jammu where they had allegedly taken a local civilian hostage inside his house.
The hostage was rescued unharmed, a spokesman for the central reserve police force told journalists.
Another Kashmiri was killed in an ‘encounter’ in Kangan in the north of the region, Dilbagh Singh, director general of Jammu and Kashmir police told AFP.
