Karachi administration has sealed Dolmen Mall Tariq Road, Saima Paari Mall Haidri, and over 403 other shops sealed in the metropolis over non-compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) devised by the Sindh government to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus.
As being reported, the District East administration sealed the Dolmen Mall on Tariq Road and also fined the shopping center’s management Rs500,000.
While a number of shop owners have been given a warning by the District Central administration to strictly comply with the COVID-19 SOPs.
As per district administrations, 53 shops at the Dolmen Mall, 320 at the Saima Paari Mall, and 30 others selling clothes, electronic items, and other products have been sealed in Karachi over SOP violations.
All shopkeepers and hotel owners have been directed to ensure implementation of the SOPs issued by the government and the health department.
According to a spokesperson for the district administration, the team inspected around 260 points, found 17 violations, and Rs 30,000 fine was also imposed on violators.
According to the new COVID-19 SOPs, markets and businesses will be allowed to run from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekdays and remain closed on weekends.
