The Royal couple of Duke of Cambridge Prince William and Duchess Kate will be visiting Pakistan in this year’s Autumn, the confirmation comes from the Kensington Palace on Saturday.
The request for the visit was made by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
The news of their visit was shared in a tweet via Kensington Palace official account, which reads:
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will undertake an official visit to Pakistan this autumn, at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Further details will be advised in due course”.
Welcoming this announcement, Pakistan’s high commissioner in London took to social media, to share his gratitude, Mohammad Nafees Zakaria wrote:
“Government & the people of Pakistan warmly welcome the announcement of the @KensingtonRoyal of the Royal visit by TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to Pakistan this year.
People of Pakistan cherish and fondly recall visits of Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II to Pakistan during 1961 and 1997. Upcoming Royal visit reflects the importance UK attaches to Pakistan. Both countries enjoy historical links & wish to strengthen further”.
