Earthquake tremors felt in Lahore, Rawalpindi and other cities of Punjab

Mild intensity earthquake tremors were felt in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and other cities in Punjab on Monday evening.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), 2 minor earthquake tremors hit areas of Punjab on Monday.

The earthquake was felt at 6:59 PM. and at 7:02 PM, the Met Office said.

The first quake measured 4.6 on the Richter scale and had a depth of 60 km, the Met Office said.

The second quake had a magnitude of 5.1 and a depth of 65 km, the Met Office said

The epicenter was reported near Kishtwar in occupied Kashmir, according to the Met Office.

The tremors were felt in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Murree, and other districts of the province. No loss of life and damages were so far reported.

As being reported, people in the above-mentioned areas came out of their houses by reciting Kalma-e-Tayyaba.
