ECP declares PTI the richest party of Pakistan

The Election Commission of Pakistan has issued the assets details of political parties on Monday revealing that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is still the richest political party of Pakistan for the second time in a row with estimated assets of up to Rs225.3 million.

According to the asset details of the 82 political parties of Pakistan, the ECP revealed that PTI has the biggest estimated assets among the other parties.

The Election Commission of Pakistan has registrations of 125 parties in total, the statement said.
Owning to the funds’ details, PTI chairperson and Prime Minister Imran Khan, said that the party had not gained any funds from banned groups.

The Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPP) declared Rs160 million in party assets, of which funds worth Rs13.5 million were received through donations.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stated that its expenditures were more than the income generated.

The PML-N showed an expenditure of Rs200 million in comparison to Rs15.5 million in income during 2018-19.
