The hubbub of Eid ul Fitr has died down, with the Eid falling on the same date as predicted by the Minister of Information and Technology, Fawad Chaudhry, following the lunar calendar launched. Now, as per a tweet shared by the same minister, dates for Eid ul Azha and the start of the Muslim Calendar with the month of Muharram have also been given.
As per a tweet shared by Fawad Chaudhry, Eid ul Azha will fall on Monday, August 12th 2019 while Muharram, the new Islamic year, will begin from 1st September 2019, i.e. Sunday.
The Ministry for Science and Technology’s recently launched lunar calendar to determine Islamic dates considering a lot of money went out for moon sighting traditions in the country. The online lunar calendar can be accessed by its website and can also be downloaded as a mobile phone application.
