England Captain Eoin Morgan suspended for slow over rate against Pakistan

England have received a set back in the series against Pakistan as captain Eoin Morgan has been suspended from the fourth ODI against Pakistan due to slow over rate offence.

The English team were two overs behind the rate when they finished their full quota of overs, in their win over Pakistan in the 3rd ODI.

“Eoin Morgan, having been found guilty of a similar offence against the Windies in February, has copped a one-match ban and been fined 40 per cent of his match fee.

Rest of the team was also fined 20% match fee as well.

England chased the 5th highest score in history of ODI cricket to beat Pakistan comfortably. However, with Adil Rashid rested and Moeen Ali, Joe Denly bowling only 7 overs between them, the pressure was on fast bowlers. Eventually, England fell well short of the required rate.

The 4th ODI of the series will be played on Friday.
