Health department officials have warned that new cases of corona are emerging in Pakistan. This new type of virus is extremely dangerous and contagious. COVID-19 has been brought under control in Pakistan, but there is a serious risk of a new virus spreading.

Talking about this important issue, Dr. Javed Akram said that the most dangerous strain of the virus, Epsilon, has been detected in Pakistan.

The virus first appeared in the US state of California, then spread to Britain, Europe, and other countries through travelers or other means.

Dr. Javed Akram said that the worrying thing is that now cases of this dangerous virus have started coming to light in our country as well.

There are five different types of Epsilon virus that have become highly contagious, he added.

He stressed that it is important to understand that we have overcome COVID-19 but it has not been completely eradicated yet. Therefore, there is still a risk that this contagious disease will spread again.

A member of the task force said: “We have identified 40 people with epilepsy from gene sequencing, but not every patient can be tested in this way, so these figures are not complete. There may be more.”

However, he said that the positive thing is that all the corona vaccines in Pakistan are effective against this new type of Epsilon virus, citizens should get the necessary immunizations to prevent it.
