Explosion in a sewerage line in Karachi’s Lasbela area leaves at least 9 people injured

The blast occurred due to gas accumulation, according to preliminary reports

An explosion in a sewerage line in Karachi’s Lasbela area on Friday has left at least 9 people injured.

According to Rescue 1122 officials, the explosion occurred in the wake of gas accumulation.

Rescue and police teams reached the accident site as soon as the incident was reported.

Panic spread due to the explosion.

A few shops on the sewerage line were also damaged by the explosion.

The individuals who sustained injuries have been identified as Lal Muhammad, Ejaz, Hafeez, Mansoor, Naseeruddin, Khurram, Mansoor, Arif, and Zoq Akhtar, the police statement said.

All of the injured were shifted to the Civil Hospital for necessary medical treatment.

Soldier Bazaar Police Station issued a preliminary update regarding the explosion as a thorough investigation is currently underway.
