Faisal Vawda Predicts Imran Khan’s Likely Conviction in £190 Million Case

Vawda also criticized PTI's handling of negotiations with the government

Senator Faisal Vawda made a strong prediction regarding the £190 million corruption case involving former Prime Minister Imran Khan, asserting that a conviction is likely.

Speaking on January 16, 2025, Vawda emphasized that while the verdict dates may change, the outcome remains unchanged, stating, “The verdict will not.”

He described the case as “open and shut,” indicating that the evidence against Khan is substantial and that he had previously warned Khan about the potential legal ramifications of his actions related to the case.

Senator Faisal Vawda has expressed concerns about internal conspiracies within Khan’s party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), suggesting that members close to Khan pose threats to his safety and political future.

Vawda also criticized PTI’s handling of negotiations with the government, predicting that upcoming discussions may not yield favourable results for Khan’s party.

Vawda’s comments come amid ongoing legal proceedings.

The much-anticipated verdict of the £190 million case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi is expected to be announced today, Jan 17, after being deferred thrice.
