Father of Mustafa Amir Murder Suspect Arrested
Police recovered 200 grams of crystal methamphetamine (ice), a 9mm pistol, two magazines, and 10 rounds of ammunition from Kamran Qureshi's possession.

In a significant development in the Mustafa Amir murder case, the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) of the Karachi Police have arrested Kamran Qureshi, the father of Armaghan Qureshi, who is the prime suspect in the case.
The arrest was made during a raid at a residence in Defence Phase 5, Khayaban-e-Momin, Karachi on Thursday, as part of a crackdown against drug traffickers.
According to the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC), Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anil Haider ice (drugs) and a 9mm pistol were recovered from the suspect.
SSP added that a case had been registered and further investigation was underway.

A case has been registered against Kamran Qureshi under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act and for possessing an unlicensed weapon.
The arrest is linked to the ongoing investigation into the murder of Mustafa Amir, who was allegedly killed by Armaghan following a personal dispute. Both Mustafa and Armaghan were involved in drug-related activities.
Mustafa Amir, 23, went missing from Karachi’s DHA on January 6, 2023, and his body was found 39 days later in Balochistan.
Armaghan Qureshi was arrested on February 8 after a standoff with police, during which he injured officers.
Investigations revealed that Armaghan had confessed to the murder and had informed his father about the incident, who allegedly advised him to flee.
