Bitter blow to PTI as Fawad Chaudhry part ways with Imran Khan, ‘takes break from politics’

PTI suffers a bitter blow as Fawad Chaudhry announces to part ways with Imran Khan and takes a break from politics.

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, now former Senior Vice President of PTI Fawad Chaudhry said, “Ref. My earlier statement where I unequivocally condemned the 9th May incidents, I have decided to take a break from politics, therefore, I have resigned from my party position and parted ways with Imran Khan.“

Fawad Chaudhry referred to his earlier statement wherein he “unequivocally condemned” the May 9 violent protests triggered by the arrest of party chief Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

According to a source close to Fawad Chaudhry, he was “disheartened” by Imran Khan’s attitude following Chaudhry’s arrest.

“He felt Imran Khan cared only about himself and left others alone to face the consequences of May 9 violence,” claims the source.
