Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) recently launched its Tax Asaan app to upgrade the taxing mechanism of Pakistan. The app which has had over 10,000 downloads since its launch is dubbed as a successful step to broaden the tax net, claims FBR.
Earlier last month, Tax Asaan app was launched to help salaried individuals file their tax returns with convenience.
The officials at FBR report that the app has been installed somewhere between 10,000-50,000 times, whereas approx 100 salaried individuals have used the app to file their tax returns out of which 98 have been successful processing.
Additionally, another 1753 individuals have saved their returns drafts which they can complete and file anytime they prefer.
Along with enabling people to file their tax returns, the app also allows users to make easy e-payments, verifications, and sales tax registrations.
However the app has a minor glitch as it only caters to salaried persons, FBR has shared that it will soon launch an upgraded version of Tax Asaan to further broaden its user base.
