Federal Budget for Next Year to be Presented on June 12

The federal budget for the next financial year will be presented in the national assembly session on June 12.

Proposals for the upcoming budget will be floored from June 2, whereas PM Imran Khan will also preside meetings to review the suggestions.

On the back of ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, development priorities will be directed towards health care. As per reports, budget targets will also be set after taking the pandemic into account.

The federal budget would be increased by 10% whereas target for Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will be likely set at Rs5.1 trillion.

International Monetary Fund (IMF) and other bodies will also be updated regarding the upcoming budget suggestions.
