Federal Govt Assigns Portfolios to New Ministers, Advisers
Hanif Abbasi appointed as the Federal Minister for Railways while Mustafa Kamal will head the health ministry.

The federal government on Friday announced portfolios of the newly inducted cabinet members.
Besides allotting portfolios to four new special assistants, the premier also reassigned the ministries of some of the cabinet members.
According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, federal minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has been given the portfolio of Parliamentary Affairs, while Ali Pervaiz Malik and Shaza Fatima Khawaja will serve as the federal ministers of Petroleum and Information Technology, respectively.
Portfolios assigned to other federal ministers are:
- Hanif Abbasi: Federal Minister for Railways
- Mustafa Kamal: Minister for Health
- Khawaja Asif: Continues as Defence Minister
- Azam Nazir Tarar: Ministry of Law, Justice, and Human Rights
- Abdul Aleem Khan: Ministry of Communications
- Musadik Malik: Minister of Climate Change
- Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui: Ministry of Education
- Chaudhry Salik: Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis
- Rana Tanveer: Ministry of National Food Security
- Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh: Board of Investment
- Tariq Fazal Chaudhry: Minister for Parliamentary Affairs
- Ali Pervaiz Malik: Minister for Petroleum
- Khalid Hussain Magsi: Minister for Science and Technology
- Muhammad Munir Wattoo: Ministry of Water Resources
- Aurangzeb Khichi: Ministry of National Heritage and Culture
- Muhammad Junaid Anwar: Ministry of Maritime Affairs
- Raza Hayat Hiraj: Ministry of Defense Production
- Sardar Yousaf: Ministry of Religious Affairs

These appointments follow the swearing-in ceremony on February 27, where President Asif Ali Zardari administered the oath to 12 federal ministers, 9 ministers of state, and 3 advisers.
