FIA arrests two for blackmailing, harassing and extorting from student-couples of KU
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two men on charges of blackmailing, harassing, and extorting from student-couples of KU, it emerges on Wednesday.
As being reported, two men were taken into custody after a complaint was filed by a female student of the Karachi University.
The detained accused would make videos of student couples without their consent.
FIA spokesperson in a statement shared that the agency’s Cyber Crime Wing arrested Fazal Dad, a rickshaw driver, and Adnan Ali, driver of a professor of the varsity, for their alleged involvement in blackmail, harassment, extortion, and sharing of obscene videos of students of KU.
The spokesperson added that an FIR was lodged against them on the complaint of a woman who stated that the two men were blackmailing her to pay money.
The spokesperson while sharing details added that a forensic analysis of mobile phones and other equipment seized from the arrested men confirmed that they were involved in blackmailing and harassing at least seven “couples” on the KU campus using their videos and pictures.
Further investigations are underway.
