FIA to arrest Shaukat Tareen for ‘damaging’ IMF deal
As reported, the Interior Ministry has allowed the FIA to arrest and take action against Shaukat Tareen.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is reported to have decided to arrest former finance minister Shaukat Tareen for allegedly damaging the IMF deal.
The FIA is likely to arrest Shaukat Tareen in a few days, sources claim.
The federal investigation agency has also investigated the leaked audios of Shaukat Tareen with former finance ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
FIA officials say that Shaukat Tareen’s talk was to harm the deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Shaukat Tareen wanted to harm national interests.
FIA has sought permission from the Ministry of Home Affairs for the action, Shaukat Tareen will be arrested if permission is granted.
As reported, the Interior Ministry has allowed the FIA to arrest and take action against Shaukat Tareen.
