Field Marshal celebrates Eid with troops on LoC
The COAS was received at the LoC by the Commander of Rawalpindi Corps upon arrival.

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, marked Eid-ul-Azha on Saturday by visiting forward positions along the Line of Control (LoC) to celebrate with frontline troops.
The visit began with Eid prayers, where special prayers were offered for Pakistan’s peace, stability, and prosperity, as well as in remembrance of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s defence.
Field Marshal Munir extended heartfelt Eid greetings to officers and soldiers, commending their unwavering commitment, professional excellence, and steadfast service despite being away from their families.
He paid tribute to the martyrs (Shuhada) and Ghazis, emphasizing that celebrating Eid on the frontline serves the higher national purpose of defending the motherland at all costs.
The Army Chief lauded the troops for their high morale, operational readiness, and vigilance, especially in response to Indian ceasefire violations. He praised their role in recent operations, including “Marqa-e-Haq” and “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos,” noting their effective responses to provocations.
Field Marshal Munir reiterated Pakistan’s principled stance on the Kashmir issue, affirming unwavering support for the just struggle of the Kashmiri people and emphasizing the need for resolving the dispute in line with their aspirations and United Nations Security Council resolutions.
