Field Marshal Hosts Dinner Honoring Leadership, Military Resolve, and Public Spirit During Marka-e-Haq

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, hosted a dinner to pay tribute to the wise leadership of Pakistan’s political figures, the steadfastness of the armed forces, and the indomitable spirit of the people during the “Battle for Truth – Operation Bunyad-e-Marsous.”
The event was attended by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and other key political and military leaders.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the high-profile gathering also included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gillani, National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, federal ministers, governors, and chief ministers.
Also present were Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, service chiefs, top officials from various political parties, senior civil bureaucrats, and high-ranking officers from all three armed forces.
Field Marshal Asim Munir commended the foresight of the political leadership during the operation and lauded the resolute role of Pakistani youth and media in countering Indian propaganda, referring to them as a “steel wall.”
He also praised the outstanding professionalism and commitment of Pakistani scientists, engineers, and diplomats, recognizing their crucial role during the conflict.
According to ISPR, attendees at the dinner acknowledged the bravery and sacrifices of the armed forces, while the army chief highlighted the effective coordination within the military during Operation Bunyad-e-Marsous.
